Baja 500 glory for BFGoodrich

Toby Price and Paul Weel steered their BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR3-equipped, Silverado Mason Motorsports-run Chevrolet Trophy Truck to victory on the 56th SCORE Baja 500. It was BFGoodrich’s 36th win on the event of which it is a partner.

The weekend’s 482-mile loop through Mexico’s Baja California featured narrow trails that made passing practically impossible, with visibility-impairing dust adding to the difficulties. BFGoodrich’s tires rose to the challenge with yet another strong performance, however. “Basically, we just tried to keep the wheels on the truck and our BFGoodrich tires were exceptional”, said Price after claiming his first SCORE Baja victory.

The BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR3’s designer Matt Hanlon added: “Not having any flats allowed Toby and Paul to stay out front and out of the dust. In terms of performance, their truck lost front wheel drive in the first half of the race, leaving them in 2WD for most of the time. They were being chased by a stacked field of 4WDs but were able to keep a healthy gap! At the finish, the wear on their rear tires looked better than that of many of the 4WDs!”

The new BFGoodrich T/A KR2 SXS added to the brand’s prize’s by topping the Pro UTV Open order with Cayden MacCachren (Polaris).
