BFGoodrich came second in the Trophy Truck class at the 37th SCORE San Felipe 250 with Luke McMillin. It also came away with several class-wins in association with runners competing on its different ranges.

The high-speed terrain visited by the 285-mile, Baja California-based event included numerous dry lakes, with overtaking rendered particularly difficult by the rocks that lay in wait to ambush any driver who dared to stray off line.

“It was important to make sure that our partners didn’t fit fresh rubber ahead of the dry lakes to ensure that their tire pressures were sufficiently high for these sections,” reports Matt Hanlon, the designer of BFGoodrich’s off-road racing products.

Luke McMillin steered his BFGoodrich KR3-equipped Mason Motorsports Trophy Truck to second place, behind Alan Ampudia’s Ford Raptor. BFGoodrich competitors also topped the Trophy Truck Spec (with EJ Herbst), Class 1 (Brad Wilson), Class 10 (Bruce Yee), Class 7 (Scott Brady) and Pro UTV Open (Cayden McCachren) classes.
