Sébastien Loeb contested Round 3 of the 2024 FIA W2RC in a Challenger-class Taurus T3 entered by Red Bull Off-Road Junior Team USA presented by BFG. The Frenchman came close to beating all the Ultimate runners on Leg 2!

As part of his preparations for 2025 when he will drive for the factory Dacia team, Sébastien Loeb contested the BP Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal – a new addition to the championship’s calendar – in a Taurus T3 with backing from BFGoodrich and Red Bull.

Running on BFGoodrich KM3s, he narrowly failed to win the event’s second leg. Starting 27th on the road, he posted the second-best time overall, splitting the powerful Ultimate prototypes and finishing only 36 seconds shy of winner Al-Attiyah after 166 punishingly muddy and slippery kilometers!

The nine-time world rally championship dropped nearly an hour with a mechanical issue the following day, however.
