The 2024 Progressive King of the Hammers Presented by Nitto and Powered By OPTIMA Batteries fortnight of off-road action got under way on January 18 in Hammertown, Johnson Valley (California), in the Californian desert.

A 35-mile prologue determined the start order for the different classes before the 182 competitors began the event in earnest with the next day’s Toyo Tires Desert Challenge Presented by Monster Energy. The 182 miles of rocky trails saw BFGoodrich claim several podium finishes, including Tim Herbst’s second place in T1 in his BFGoodrich BAJA T/A KR3-tired Trophy Truck.

Two-time ‘Unlimited’ winner Kyle Jergensen came first in T2 this time around (but still on BFGoodrich rubber!), while Brock Heger topped the B3 UTV Open order on his BFGoodrich KDR3-equipped Polaris.
