FIA Baja World Cup – More success for BFGoodrich in Saudi Arabia

Just three weeks after securing its 20th Dakar victory last month in Saudi Arabia, BFGoodrich returned to the country to win the opening round of the 2024 FIA Baja World Cup with Al-Rajhi/Gottschalk (Toyota Hilux).

The Saudi Baja featured two competitive legs in the An-Nafud Desert and attracted an entry of more than 40 cars, including 10 in the headlining Ultimate class.

Bouncing back from the disappointment of being forced out of January’s Dakar while leading, Saudi Arabia’s Yazeed Al-Rajhi steered his BFGoodrich KDR3-equipped Toyota Hilux T1+ prototype to a narrow victory. It was his seventh on the event with five different car makes, but all on BFGoodrich rubber.

Portugal’s Joao Ferreira was second overall (+38 seconds) in his BFGoodrich-tired Mini John Cooper Works prototype.
