BFGoodrich aims for a 10th consecutive victory in the Dakar Rally
The 48th edition of the Dakar Rally will take place from January 3 to 17, 2026, in Saudi Arabia. BFGoodrich will equip most of the vehicles in the premier Ultimate category and will aim for a 10th consecutive victory in the world’s most demanding rally raid.
A route covering more than 8,000 kilometers (including nearly 5,000 timed kilometers) divided into 13 stages, including two “Marathon” stages: this is the menu concocted by the organizer for the 326 entrants, 73 in the Ultimate category.
Most of the Ultimate prototypes will be equipped with BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KDR3 Evo2.0 tires (37 inches), such as the Toyota Hilux T1+ (Al-Rajhi, Lategan, Quintero, Price, Yacopini, etc.), the Dacia Sandriders (Loeb, Al-Attiyah, Gutierrez, Moraes), the Ford Raptors T1+ (Sainz, Ekstrom, Roma, Guthrie, etc.) and the Mini JCWs (De Mevius, Baud, etc.).
BFGoodrich KDR3 tires are designed in Tuscaloosa (Alabama, USA), as are the BFGoodrich Mud Terrain KM3, All Terrain T/AB KDR3 and Baja T/A KR2 tires for the Challenger and SSV categories. BFGoodrich provides its partners with a technical advisor and a tire mounting service at each bivouac.
The 2026 edition will start in Yanbu, on the shores of the Red Sea, on January 3. The rest day will be held in Riyadh on January 10, before the finish in Yanbu on January 17.
