An all-BFGoodrich podium in Portugal

The BP Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal saw BFGoodrich KDR3 runners monopolize the top three places with three different teams – Prodrive, Mini and Toyota. Nasser Al-Attiyah claimed his second world-class win in a row.

After the Dakar and Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, Round 3 of the 2024 FIA W2RC took teams to northern Portugal. The five-leg event totaled 1,008 competitive kilometers made extremely muddy and slippery by recent poor weather.

The entry list included numerous top names on BFGoodrich rubber, including Al-Attiyah (Prodrive), Sainz (Mini), Quintero, Moraes, Chicherit and De Mevius (Toyota), as well as Sébastien Loeb who drove a Taurus in the Challenger class.

The fiercely-contested rally-raid produced four leg winners, while as many as 11 crews figured on the different end-of-leg podiums!

Nasser Al-Attiyah (Prodrive Hunter) emerged as the weekend’s overall victor, ahead of Joao Ferreira (Mini X-Raid) and Lucas Moraes (Toyota Hilux).
