BFGoodrich Tires bounced back in a big way to open the 2026 SCORE season, conquering the punishing 281.85-mile San Felipe course. The race featured deep sand, rocky terrain, fast dry lakebeds and massive whoops, creating one of the toughest tests of the year.

Starting second, Luke McMillin took the lead within the opening miles and controlled the race to the finish. McMillin held off his closest rival, who suffered three competitive tire brand flats, proving just how important tire performance was on race day. The victory was McMillin’s third overall win at the San Felipe 250.

Rob MacCachren also delivered a standout performance, dominating the Trophy Truck 2WD class in his return to the category. In Trophy Truck Legends, David Payne and Larry Roeseler earned BFGoodrich’s first victory in the class driving their AWD Mason truck.

Jorge Sampietro claimed an impressive win in Trophy Truck Spec, beating a field of 37 competitors. In Class 1, Brendan Gaughn debuted the new 42-inch BFGoodrich KR3 tires. The new tires completed the entire 230-plus-mile race without a change and still looked strong at the finish.

Brock Heger capped off the day by extending the Polaris Factory Team’s winning streak in the UTV Pro class with another victory.
