On the muddy and treacherous trails of Portugal, Sébastien Loeb showcased his rally driving mastery, taking full advantage of the grip provided by his BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KDR3 tires to claim victory at the wheel of his Dacia Sandriders.

The nine-time World Rally Champion secured his second consecutive win at the BP Ultimate Rally-Raid Portugal. Driving his Dacia Sandriders equipped with BFGoodrich KDR3 tires, Loeb took the lead after Stage 2 and controlled the race through to the finish.

Following its Dakar Rally victory with Nasser Al-Attiyah, the Dacia brand claimed another win in the second round of the season, with Loeb now leading the championship.

The Toyota Hilux T1+ entries of Seth Quintero and João Ferreira completed an all-BFGoodrich podium at the conclusion of the 1,320-kilometer timed course.

The official Ford team was forced to retire its Raptor T1+ vehicles early in the race. Among the favorites, Henk Lategan (Toyota) and Nasser Al-Attiyah quickly fell out of contention for the win. Veteran Stéphane Peterhansel claimed victory in the Stock category in his Defender on BFGoodrich tires.

The next round of the World Championship will take place in Argentina in late May.
