Kyle Jergensen claimed the first-ever overall Mint 400 victory for an Unlimited Spec class driver, fending off 1,000+ horsepower Unlimited Trucks.

Jergensen and co-driver Shawn Shanks outlasted defending champion Adam Householder and the field to finish in 6:47:23. The duo also won the Mint 400 in 2022.

“Hats off to Kyle, Shawn and the No. 222 Unlimited Spec team,” said Raymond Cotton, Michelin North America motorsports director. “Truly an accomplishment to take first in a tough race against more powerful vehicles. It’s a great story that’s also BFGoodrich Racing’s 14th consecutive overall title at the Mint 400.”

Householder was closing in on his third-straight overall win before a mechanical failure late in the day. Ryan Arciero won the Unlimited Truck 2WD class and placed third overall. Seven-time NASCAR Cup champion Jimmie Johnson, alongside Troy Herbst, finished sixth in Unlimited Truck 2WD and 12th overall.

Limited Race
Brock Heger, of the Polaris Factory Race Team, has done it again: back-to-back Limited Race victories at the Mint 400. This time he did it in under seven hours, which a UTV racer had never done before. Racing his T96 RZR Pro R in the UTV Pro class, he and co-driver Justin Wilson finished in 6:57:56.

Mitch Guthrie and Phil Blurton, also running BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR2 SXS/UTV tires, rounded out the podium in second and third place, respectively. Polaris Factory Race teamers Ethan Groom and Cayden MacCachren finished in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Sara Price took first place in the UTV Pro Stock Modified class.

All told, BFGoodrich Racing earned 16 class wins across the two days of racing.

A Legacy of Off-Road Performance
BFGoodrich has a long and storied history in off-road racing, dating back to the early days of the sport. The brand has been involved in the Mint 400 since its inception in 1968 and has been the title sponsor since 2018. Over the years, BFGoodrich-equipped teams have won the Mint 400 more times than any other tire brand, a testament to the performance and durability of its products.
