Jason Voss continues domination in Nevada

Jason Voss didn’t waste much time in taking the lead in what is often referred to as the toughest off-road race in the United States, the Best In The Desert Vegas To Reno race. The win marked Voss’ fourth Vegas to Reno overall victory in the last five years.

vegas-to-reno-2017-027Piloting his No. 1 King Shocks Trick Truck, Voss vaulted out to a lead before the half way point of the 550-mile race which took competitors through high speed desert trails and technical, rocky climbs. After taking the lead, the field was chasing but Voss held on in a time of 9 hours and two minutes, roughly three and a half minutes ahead of Justin Matney, who placed second. BFGoodrich Performance Team member Bryce Menzies placed third, 17 minutes behind.

The top 10 list once again was littered with racers on BFGoodrich Tires, as more racers adopt the latest desert race product, the BFGoodrich 40-inch Baja T/A® KR3 race tire.

With the recent weather in Nevada, the course was unforgiving and clean air was the difference maker. Voss started third but managed to work his way to first on the course, which was significant in the victory.

Other BFGoodrich Performance Team members with notable finishers were Rob MacCachren (4th) and Cameron Steele (7th).

BFGoodrich placed the top four overall finishers and seven of the top 10.
